Grade II Listed townhouse on Walton street, Central North Oxford

Crawford Construction carried out a complete refurbishment of this Regency Grade II listed townhouse, which had been left untouched for many years. The work involved was extensive from the top to the bottom of the house, ranging from replacing the roof to underpinning the foundations and building a kitchen extension at the back of the property. Our master craftsmen paid careful attention when working on this listed building and ensured the character remained, reinstating period details where necessary.

Former Victorian Public House on Bridge Street, Osney, Oxford
Single storey extension
Crawford & Co. Construction was excited to work on this former public house and pleased that the owner used some of the original features to bring the space to life. The project on Bridge Street, Oxford involved a ground floor extension to create an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. Large aluminium bi-folding doors were installed to give a seamless connection to the garden and ‘blue-sky’ roof lights were cleverly used to create a striking living space. It was particularly important to meet our deadline on this job as our client had tenants lined up to move in.

This project on Great Clarendon Street in Jericho demonstrates how a garage conversion, loft conversion and internal refurbishment, well executed, can vastly improve a modern terraced house in Jericho, Oxford. A light new kitchen is installed in the old integral garage, creating a spacious interior to the rear providing living and dining space leading to the courtyard. This is the third building project Crawford & Co. Construction worked on for this client, a private investor. We thoughtfully renovated and extended this family home set in the highly regarded residential location of Upper Wolvercote, Oxford. Completed with great attention to detail throughout, this property offers a high standard of finish and now makes for a great family home. The ground floor extension creates a modern, open-plan living area with bi-folding doors opening the space up to the garden and flooding it with natural. The previously tired house in Oxford has now been re-energised and brought right up-to-date by Crawford & Construction.
Victorian Semi-detached House on St. Margaret’s Road, Central North Oxford

Situated in the North Oxford Conservation Area, this large semi-detached Victorian house built in 1880 to a design by F. J. Connell was sympathetically restored and extended by Crawford & Co. Construction. The project involved a basement conversion and large orangery to the rear creating a beautiful open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room with access to the garden via full length balcony.

This project concerns a ground floor extension and refurbishment of a Victorian house in Osney. We were delighted to be appointed on the project, having just finished another, on Abbey Road, for the same client last year.
